The Blue Rock cable water ski-ing and wakeboarding club is a fun place for any family to visit. Located just out of Cape Town in Somerset West, Blue Rock offers a bar for the adults, lovely areas where picnics are perfect for any family, and a lake where you can spend the whole day swimming. For those brave enough, there is an overhead cable system that pulls you along on your wakeboard. Some other activities that you can take part in here is on the mini golf course and a volleyball court for those who like to keep active even while they are on holiday.
After a day of Blue Rock cable water ski-ing and wakeboarding, you can end off by going to the restaurant, having a delicious meal and heading back to where you are staying. You will also find a shop where the prices are very reasonable, so you can get what you need to take home with you after a day of fun. The wakeboard shop has something for all wakeboarding fans! Somerset West is approximately thirty minutes out of the Mother City and very easy to find, so getting there should not be a problem. The prices differ from getting into the resort to making use of the cable skiing; you pay R30 per adult to get in and R115 to ski for an hour.
